Bason Botanic Gardens
A botanic and architectural gem in a rural setting.
The Bason Botanic Gardens (25 hectares) are on the outskirts of Whanganui, on the road to Kai Iwi beach. The gardens were donated by Stanley and Blanche Bason in 1969 and are maintained by Whanganui District Council. They are free to visit at any time of the year.
