A familiar face in Brass Whanganui on cornet and recently soprano cornet, Oliver Furneaux brings his exceptional trumpet playing to Sound Canvas. A classically trained musician and accomplished jazz soloist, Oliver has performed as a member of the Auckland Jazz Orchestra, Spiral and Superhero Second Line. Oliver’s musical career has also taken him overseas for major commemorative engagements as a member of the Royal New Zealand Navy Band, in Turkey and South Korea. With a wealth of experience across classical, jazz and contemporary music, Oliver brings versatility, skill and creativity to the stage.
