Maeve Egan is Kaihāpai Taonga | Curator of Social and Natural History, and Eruera Rerekura (Te Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi) is Kaihāpai Taonga Māori | Curator, Taonga Māori at Te Puni Tiaki Taonga o Whanganui | Whanganui Regional Museum. Together, they bring complementary expertise in science, heritage, mātauranga Māori and museum practice. Maeve holds qualifications in ecology and biodiversity, philosophy, psychology, and museum and heritage practice, while Eruera combines a background in broadcast journalism with postgraduate study in museum and heritage studies and collection management. Together, they are committed to connecting people with the Museum's collections through engaging, meaningful and accessible experiences.
