Design Core
Bonnie Fahoome has served Detroit’s innovation economy for 16+ years. As Co-Executive Director of Design Core, she develops tools and programs that support design businesses and strengthen the creative economy.
She authored Design Guides for Neighborhood and Product Businesses, and Real Estate Development that help entrepreneurs understand and appreciate design's impact on people, products, programs, processes, and places. Bonnie also developed the Design Jam, a design and manufacturing workshop centering the voices of people with disabilities to ideate and prototype products.
As Detroit’s UNESCO City of Design focal point, Bonnie champions inclusion and chairs a global committee on social design. By facilitating connections between policymakers, educators, investors, industry and community, Bonnie helps drive equitable outcomes both locally and internationally.
