He Ao Āpōpō, He Ao Tea: Māori Futures, with curator, Cecelia Kumeroa.

A tour of the Sarjeant Gallery’s Puanga exhibition, Cecelia Kumeroa, will explain the Whanganui River narrative and co-design elements that have transformed the Sarjeant Gallery into an award winning space that bridges past, present and future. Te Whare o Rehua Sarjeant Gallery has won multiple design awards including the supreme purple pin for the 2025 Best Awards. Cecelia Kumeroa led the co-design group Te Kāhui Toi o Tupoho and worked as a designer for the project, specifically focused on the façade of the Pātaka, the metal work at the entrance and the tiling designs. Importantly, she created the cultural narrative that informed the designs embedded in the new extension.
